New to Fudoushin Aikido?

Comfortable workout clothes are perfect. When you are ready, uniforms are available to buy at the dojo, but it is entirely optional.

Classes begin with the kids sitting in seiza (kneeling in a line according to rank) performing a respectful bow to start the class. The kids are then run through an "animal-themed" warmup to get them ready for the lessons. The instructor will demonstrate and guide fundamental Aikido techniques. The kids pair up with others of similar rank and practice the technique. The class ends with a fun activity (e.g. seiza dodgeball) as a reward for all their hard work.
